While I typically go for plain Greek yogurt and just doctor it up to my liking, I’m always down to try a new flavor — especially if it’s from my go-to brand, Siggi’s. The company just launched a new limited-edition flavor this January featuring yuzu, a tart citrus that’s expected to be everywhere in 2026.
What You Should Know About Siggi’s Tropical Yuzu Skyr
Siggi’s is no stranger to the yogurt game. Since 2005, the company has been specializing in skyr, traditional Icelandic yogurt made with four times the amount of milk than traditional yogurt, resulting in a super-thick and creamy texture, and more protein than your Greek yogurt too. (Skyr has 15 to 20 grams per 5.3-ounce serving, while Greek yogurt has 10 to 17 grams.) It’s also not the first time Siggi’s has released a limited-edition small-batch flavor: In 2025 it was Spiced Pear & Fig.
Siggi’s Tropical Yuzu Skyr is made with cultured pasteurized skim milk, cane sugar, pasteurized cream, mango purée, pineapple purée, yuzu juice, and pectin. As with all Siggi’s yogurts, there are no artificial flavors or sweeteners, added colors, gums, preservatives, or stevia. Each 5.3-ounce cup has 15 grams of protein and retails for $1.79. (Prices may vary by retailer.) You can find Siggi’s Tropical Yuzu Skyr at retailers nationwide, including Kroger, Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, Hannaford, and more until the end of July.
My Honest Review of Siggi’s Tropical Yuzu Skyr
I’m a fan of yuzu — especially in drinks like kombucha, lemonade, or even in a cocktail — so I was excited to see the popular flavor in my favorite yogurt. I opened the pack and dug in for an initial taste. The yuzu is delicate, with a bright, citrusy, zesty flavor. It’s slightly sweet and the skyr itself provides additional tang, while the mango and pineapple purées layer on the tropical flair.
I served it up in a little parfait of sorts with some strawberries and almond slices. I love how fresh it tastes. I also appreciated that it wasn’t too sweet or overpowering, and, like other Siggi’s products, how thick and creamy the yogurt is. I’d totally eat it again.
It provides a little something different than your standard lemon or key lime and would be great in a smoothie. Plus, if you want to try the Japanese cheesecake trend that’s been going viral lately, I think this yuzu skyr would make a great base.
