The coolest kitchen decor always seems to be decor that’s not actually meant to live in the kitchen. Case in point: Better Homes & Gardens’ Ribbed Glass Vase. Most people would use it for flowers, but over here it’s acting as my new utensil crock, holding all the cooking utensils I reach for most. Ingenious? I’d say so.
What You Should Know About Better Homes & Gardens’ Ribbed Glass Vase
This vase is 10 inches tall (aka about the height of a gourmet bottle of olive oil), comes in an elegant champagne color, and is just $11. It’s a huge hit with reviewers, who’ve given it a 4.8-star average rating and say “it looks ultra high-end,” “the color is really stunning,” and “it’s SO incredibly gorgeous!”
My Honest Review of Better Homes & Gardens’ Ribbed Glass Vase
This stylish vase replaced my functional-but-boring stainless steel utensil crock. Its beautiful Champagne color fits in nicely next to my brown wooden knife block and white range. Plus, the glass is pretty thick, so I wasn’t worried about it breaking easily or toppling over. I was able to fit nine utensils in it, including stainless steel spoons, ladles, and spatulas, as well as a few wooden spoons.
I’ve found my tall ladle and wooden spoons are the best to use in the vase. The vase is taller than I anticipated, so a couple of my utensils ended up being a little short for it. But most fit just fine, and it still helps alleviate some of the congestion in my drawers.
This vase is such an effortless way to incorporate more beauty into my kitchen. It was totally worth the $11 I spent on it. And honestly? It will get way more use in my apartment this way than if I only broke it out for flowers a handful of times a year.
