How sweet it is.
The top-seeded Wolverines, for their seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, reached the Sweet 16 with a 95-72 win over No. 9 seed Saint Louis on Saturday at KeyBank Center.
Yaxel Lendeborg, with 25 points, led the way for Michigan (33-3), which tied a program record for most wins in a season.

Michigan will face the winner between No. 4 seed Alabama and No. 5 seed Texas Tech on Friday in Chicago with a spot in the Elite Eight on the line. The Alabama vs. Texas game is Sunday night at 9:45 p.m. on CBS.
Nobody scores more points or shoots more 3-pointers per game than Alabama. The Crimson Tide have scored at least 100 points 10 times and have made fewer than 10 3s in just six of their 33 contests. Alabama, which is led by former Romulus High School coach Nate Oats, opened the NCAA Tournament with a 90-70 win over Hofstra without top 3-point shooter Aden Holloway, who was arrested on a felony drug charge earlier this week.
The Red Raiders might not be as dangerous without forward JT Toppin, who was averaging 21 points and 10 rebounds before suffering a season-ending ACL injury. But they still have stellar point guard Christian Anderson, a former longtime Michigan commit who decommitted after Juwan Howard’s firing, leading the way. Texas Tech lost three straight heading into the NCAA Tournament before getting back on track with a 91-71 win over Akron in the first round.
