When the clock strikes 2 p.m., I’m likely reaching for a snack. Usually my savory go-tos are pretzels or Sun Chips, but I recently discovered a new snack that’s crunchy, tangy, and everything I want in a quick and easy midday bite. And what’s amazing is that I can get 12 packs in three delicious flavors for just $37 on Amazon.
What You Should Know About Freestyle Snacks’ Pickle Variety Snack Packs
There are three flavors you can choose from: Classic Dill Pickle Chips, Kickin’ Picks Pickle Chips, and Garlic Dill Mini Pickles. And while you can totally grab a 12-pack of one particular flavor, I opted to try them all in the variety pack. It has four packs of each flavor, so you’ll get plenty to try and share with friends and family (or keep them all to yourself; I won’t judge).
My Honest Review of Freestyle Snacks’ Pickle Variety Snack Packs
Can we start by talking about the packaging of these snack packs? It’s so cool with its vibrant colors (bonus: It’s easy to tell which flavor you’re grabbing). Plus, I love the zip-top so I can easily reseal it.
The pickles themselves are also just as satisfying as the fun packaging. They’re nice and crisp, a little bit sour, and quite flavorful. My favorite of the three are the Kickin’ Picks because I love a little heat (I put hot sauce on, like, everything). These aren’t super spicy, but they provide a nice little flash of heat right at the end of the bite.
You can’t go wrong with the Classic Dill Pickle Chips, though. They’re tangy and savory, with a light crunch. For a heartier crunch, the Garlic Dill Mini Pickles deliver. These in particular would be great on a cheese board or served alongside a sandwich.
And word to the wise: While these pickle packs are a perfect on-the-go snack, just know that a little brine might jump out when you first open them. You should be good to go from there, though.
