Former Miami Hurricanes defensive back and wide receiver Rashaun Jones received a mistrial after being accused of murdering teammate Bryan Pata, according to ESPN.After hours of deliberation, the jury remained deadlocked, leading to the mistrial. One juror — who chose to remain anonymous — told ESPN that only one member of the jury wanted to convict Jones. The rest of the jury believed the state failed to “meet the burden beyond reasonable doubt” in its argument, per the juror who spoke to ESPN.”The state case was very weak, mostly circumstantial,” the juror said. With the mistrial, prosecutors are allowed to try…
X is rolling out a built-in “Paid Partnership” label that creators can apply to sponsored posts, replacing the hashtag workarounds they’ve had to rely on until now. The feature, by the platform’s head of product Nikita Bier, adds a toggle that places a disclosure label directly below a post’s content. It can also be applied retroactively. The label is meant to help creators comply with years-old requiring clear disclosure of sponsored content. The agency reminding influencers about this requirement in 2017, and a disclosure feature that same year. Without a native tool, X creators had been left to use hashtags like…
We are not using ”cheap” as a pejorative here. Because almost every pan recommended in this piece will likely need replacement after several years, picking a high performer that comes at the lowest price possible is a big benefit. And like so much of Oxo’s gear, the Oxo Pro Ceramic Nonstick Pans are a bargain relative to their quality. They have a slick ceramic nonstick surface out of the box and are easy to maneuver around the stove. What we love: Eggs and pancakes released easily during testing while the handle stayed nice and cool throughout the process. The pan has…
“I think it’s great to have that support and love around you, because you need that,” she went on. “This isn’t an easy job, so it’s good to have that to free you up from it every now and then.”June 13, 2023: Tom is “happy and in love”Ever the humble king, Holland joked about his lack of charisma in an interview with Buzzfeed—and, in turn, let everyone know just how content he was with Zendaya.“I have no rizz whatsoever. I have limited rizz,” he told the outlet. “I need you to fall in love with me, really, for it to…
Apple is winning with its latest gadgets over the competition by doing the bare minimum. On Monday, the tech giant dropped its first details about its new iPhone 17e and iPad Air with M4. One thing about both announcements stuck out—mostly because Apple rarely remarks on price. Each new device was “the same starting price” as last year’s model. The iPhone 17e starts at $600, the same as last year’s iPhone 16e. This time, it comes with more base storage—256GB instead of 128GB. It packs in a few extra upgrades as well, including MagSafe charging and improved wireless and cellular connectivity.…
By now, you’re probably already on your second or third read of the top NFL free agents list as we rocket towards the start of the new league year. With the NFL Scouting Combine in our rearview, the drum that will kick off this year’s game of musical chairs will only beat louder. While you may think you know this year’s group frontwards and backwards, there is the likelihood of even more players entering the free agent pool. In conjunction with the new league year, teams will need to be compliant with the salary cap, which means front offices are currently…
Nvidia announced on Monday that it’s investing $2 billion each into Lumentum and Coherent, which are both developing photonics technology for data centers, like optical transceivers, circuit switches, and lasers, which are used to move data at high speeds over long distances. Their tech could improve energy efficiency, data transfer speeds, and bandwidth in future AI data centers, after Nvidia already capitalized on its 2020 acquisition of the network hardware company Mellanox to beef up NVLink and increase the amount of data moving between its GPUs.For Lumentum, the nonexclusive multiyear deal includes a “multibillion purchase commitment and future capacity access…

Nintendo has livestream for tomorrow, March 3, at 9AM ET. The company says this event will include “roughly 15 minutes of news and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.” That’s not a whole lot of time, but indie trailers tend to be on the shorter side.We really don’t know anything about what Nintendo and its partners could reveal tomorrow. It’s entirely possible we’ll see something big, like the for Silksong. More than likely, however, we’ll get trailers and updates regarding a spate of unexpected indie games. The previous Indie World Showcase took place in August…

Graduate of Northwestern University.Multiple AuthorsCollege football’s coaching carousel spins at different speeds, often alternating between chaotic and calm, depending on the year. After a relatively uneventful cycle in 2024-25, the most recent carousel moved fast and furiously, claiming coaches from the expected (Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy, Florida’s Billy Napier) to the surprising (Penn State’s James Franklin, LSU’s Brian Kelly) to the downright shocking (Michigan’s Sherrone Moore). The SEC and Big Ten had a combined nine coaching changes, including at four programs — Michigan, LSU, Auburn and Florida –…
