Meta is adding more scam detection tools to Facebook, Messenger, and WhatsApp that can help users protect their accounts. In its announcement, Meta says the new features aim to alert users about suspicious activities before they engage with them, such as unrecognized friend requests and device linking notifications, because “we know that scammers try to avoid our detection and may not immediately use accounts maliciously.”WhatsApp users will now receive a warning when red flags are detected in the behavioral signals for device linking requests, helping to prevent scammers from linking other WhatsApp accounts to their own device. Meta says these…

Mar 10, 2026, 10:09 PM ETIt’s Wilt, then Bam.Bam Adebayo had a night for all time on Tuesday, with a point total second to only Wilt Chamberlain in the NBA record books. Adebayo scored 83 points, setting league marks for free throws made and attempted in a game in the Miami Heat’s 150-129 win over the Washington Wizards.”An absolutely surreal night,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “Obviously, we’ve been blessed to have been part of a lot of big moments in this arena. The front of the grip has a cover that hides away the USB-C charging port and microSD card slot. There is built-in memory, but I would strongly suggest using a microSD card, because it’s difficult to fully extract your images from the built-in memory. You have to use the app to first download the image, but then it’s hard to save them on your phone outside of the app. Just throw a tiny microSD card in there and you’ll avoid all that hassle. The images are tiny. The 5-MP, 1/5-inch sensor records photos at 1920 x 2560 pixels and videos at…

Sweeping, lavishly mounted, and wildly ambitious, Mona Fastvold’s music-filled fever dream charts the rise of Ann Lee, the founding leader of the Shakers, in extraordinary fashion. Taking us from 18th-century Manchester onto a creaking ship, and then to the New World, as our heroine leads her people toward a more promising future, it’s a hallucinatory vortex of eerie folk songs and impassioned dancing. Yes, not all of it works, but the same is true of the auteur’s last film, The Brutalist, which she co-wrote with her partner, and that film’s director, Brady Corbet. It’s ironic, then, that that release—a fictional…
Katy Shi, a researcher who works on Codex’s behavior at OpenAI, says that while some folks describe its default personality as “dry bread,” many have come to appreciate its less sycophantic style. “A lot of engineering work is about being able to take critical feedback without interpreting it as mean,” Shi says.Several major enterprises have signed on to use Codex too. “The fact that ChatGPT is synonymous with AI gives us a massive advantage in the B2B market,” says Fidji Simo, OpenAI’s CEO of applications. “Companies want to use technologies their workers are already familiar with.” OpenAI’s strategy to sell…

On Friday night, my boyfriend and I sat on the couch for a refreshing evening of doing nothing together. We tuned into a baseball game, he picked up my guitar, and I eagerly booted up “Pokémon Pokopia,” the 30-year-old franchise’s new cozy life simulator game, which is unlike anything we’ve seen from Pokémon before. I narrated my experience as I played, explaining the process of constructing habitats to increase the comfort levels of my Pokémon friends, a primary objective of the game. “Onix is stuck in a cave, but I can’t break through the walls, so Squirtle suggested throwing a…
