What we love: First and foremost, this is a very accurate scale, reacting to changes of a tenth of a gram. But it also has an incredibly smart design and evident high-end build quality. The Lunar is a compact scale that fits under just about any espresso maker and on any drip tray. The large digit display features a visual flow rate indicator in the form of a row of LED dots indicating grams per second. The required repeated taps on a touchscreen are not our favorite way to run through a menu. But unlike other multi-modal scales we tried,…
We may not have a trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day yet, but Marvel’s got two new comic books to capitalize on the upcoming film. Earlier this week, the publisher announced Spider-Man: Long Way Home from Jonathan Hickman and Adam Kubert. The five-issue story sees Peter working with and against his future cinematic co-stars, the Hulk and the Punisher, to get the Cosmic Cube from AIM in South America. None of them trust each other, and over the course of the adventure, things will go to hell for each of them. Long Way Home, similar to Hickman and Greg Capullo’s Wolverine: Revenge, is in its own continuity…

ModRetro, the vintage gaming startup by Palmer Luckey, is in talks to raise funding at a $1 billion valuation, according to the Financial Times. The company launched its first product, a Game Boy-style handheld device called the Chromatic, in 2024. The Verge’s Sean Hollister said it “might be the best version of the Game Boy ever made,” but found it hard to separate from Luckey’s reputation as founder of defense tech startup Anduril Industries. “If Lockheed Martin made a Game Boy, would you buy one?” Hollister asked. Luckey said last year that he’d been trying to build a Game Boy-inspired…

All prices were accurate at the time of publishing. When it comes to the perfect snack, a good potato chip is hard to beat. For me, it’s gotta be sturdy enough to withstand dipping without crumbling into a million little pieces and well-seasoned. Plain, simply salted potato chips might be sufficient for slaking the vague hunger of a party crowd, but when I’m in snack mode I want a chip with a point of view. That’s why I usually find my favorite chips at international…
Last season Ashley Williams set about rescuing provinciality from the prosaic; for fall 2026, she was consumed by it. Quite literally, her cast of characters became the domestic scene they previously inhabited: plasticky headboards cinched tulle skirts, toilet paper bangles encircled wrists, silky and scalloped bedspreads beckoned from the bellybuttons of quilted cardigans and shift dresses. Williams referenced Carol Anne from the 1982 horror movie Poltergeist, in communion with the spirits through household appliances. The London designer was also inspired by ’80s bedrooms and retro dreamhouse-y children’s furniture—covetable, fantastical. Concurrently, the kinds of make-believe we take with us into adulthood, like…
Smart ring maker Oura has acquired Doublepoint, a company that specializes in gesture recognition for wearables. The Finnish startup uses smartwatches and wristbands as examples of products that benefit from its technology, but Oura will clearly be looking to incorporate it into its rings, in theory allowing you to control your connected devices with hand movements.Oura said in a press release that the deal sees it inherit an “exceptional team of AI architects and builders from Doublepoint,” including Doublepoint’s four founders. The newly-acquired company will remain in its native Helsinki, where it will work with Oura’s international teams. It added that…
Firing season is upon us, and two ACC schools made immediate moves after the season ended for their teams: Georgia Tech has fired Damon Stoudamire, and Boston College is done with Earl Grant.Stoudamire looked like he might do well. He beat Duke in his first season, and Baye Ndongo looked like a real find. Naithan George was a solid point guard, too.AdvertisementWell, the best-laid plans and all of that. We admired the guts Georgia Tech showed last year when the team was devastated by injuries, but this year was awful and it’s hard to blame the Yellow Jackets brain trust…
The hype for Gang of Dragon, the debut game from Nagoshi Studio, may already be getting derailed. According to a Bloomberg report, Chinese tech giant NetEase is going to stop financing Nagoshi Studio starting in May. Bloomberg confirmed the news with the studio’s employees and a NetEase spokesperson. The report explained that NetEase decided to cut funding to Nagoshi Studio, which was founded in 2021 by Yakuza franchise creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, after finding out the studio needed $44.4 million to complete the project. Bloomberg reported that Nagoshi Studio is trying to find new sponsors but hasn’t had any success so far.…
U.S. President Donald Trump speaks during a round table on collegiate sports in the White House in Washington, D.C., March 6, 2026. Nathan Howard | ReutersPresident Donald Trump threatened to withhold his signature from any bill that reaches his desk until Congress passes a controversial election measure known as the SAVE America Act, which would make it much harder for many Americans to vote. “It must be done immediately.
