Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg entered a downtown Los Angeles courthouse in largely the same way as all the attorneys, reporters, and advocates who’d come to watch his landmark trial testimony, but with one notable difference: he was flanked by an entourage that appeared to be wearing Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. To get to the courtroom, he walked past a crowd of parents whose children died after struggling with issues they attribute to the design of social media platforms including those that Meta makes. He would spend the next eight hours often answering questions in his signature matter-of-fact (or less charitably,…
Is there a more creatively-stimulating city than New York? Our metropolis is an endless reference for designer collections—its stylish locals, with their knack for putting together cool-yet-nonchalant looks, providing endless fodder. New York street style is what inspired Tommy Hilfiger’s new fall assortment: The designer wanted to embed his classically preppy pieces with a more New York attitude, and he revived some key items from his archives to do so.For her, a silky blouse featured a geometric pattern lifted from one of his archival menswear ties. A bright green crewneck—almost Brat green, even—was inspired by the green lining of a…
While I’ve tested a lot of gaming headsets meant for sitting on a couch or at a desk, very few are easy to pocket and take on the go. The SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds fill that need, and are perfectly matched for consoles like the Nintendo Switch 2 and ROG Xbox Ally. They’re currently marked down to just $160 at Best Buy, a $40 discount from their usual price.Photograph: Eric RavenscraftSteelSeriesArctis GameBudsWhile most gamers prefer over-ear headsets for the sound isolation and comfort, these earbuds have some special features that help them bridge the gap. The Arctis mobile app has a…

Zuckerberg repeatedly fell back on accusing Lanier of “mischaracterizing” his previous statements. When it came to emails, Zuckerberg typically objected based on how old the message was, or his lack of familiarity with the Meta employees involved. “I don’t think so, no,” he replied when directed to clarify if he knew Karina Newton, Instagram’s head of public policy in 2021. And Zuckerberg never failed to point out when he wasn’t actually on an email thread entered as evidence.Perhaps anticipating these detached and repetitive talking points from Zuckerberg—who claimed over and over that any increased engagement from a user on Facebook…

There’s something about that special touch and old-school recipes that brings a smile to your face every time. (My grandma’s sweet potato pie is a staple in my family, and no one makes it quite like her.) Reddit, obviously, knows how it goes: An old-fashioned recipe for “Grandma’s lemon bars” — no frills, no pictures — recently went viral. The person who created the post said that they…
Phison is one of the leading makers of controller chips for SSDs and other flash memory devices — and CEO Pua Khein-Seng has now become a leading voice for just how bad the RAM shortage might get.Companies may need to cut back their product lines in the second half of 2026, and some companies will even die if they can’t get the components they need, he agreed, in a televised interview with Ningguan Chen of Taiwanese broadcaster Next TV.While the interview’s entirely in Chinese, friends of The Verge stepped forward to confirm parts of a machine-translated summary that’s been making…
Mike Wagner, a former Pro Bowl defensive back and a key member of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ famed “Steel Curtain” defense, has died at the age of 76. Wagner spent his entire 10-year career with the Steelers. Over that span, he was named to two Pro Bowls and helped Pittsburgh win four Super Bowls over a six-year span. Here’s something that you’ve never seen on Big Tech social platforms: The decentralized open social network Bluesky has integrated new technology from a startup called Germ Network in order to bring end-to-end encrypted (E2E) messaging to the Bluesky app. The move makes Germ DM the first private messenger that can be launched natively within the Bluesky app. Alongside the launch, Germ is also releasing new guidance that would allow other apps built on the underlying AT Protocol that powers Bluesky to do the same thing.
