Last year, we learned pop star Charli XCX would headline and produce a new horror flick from Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike. Per Deadline, the film’s officially dubbed Untitled Tokyo and sees XCX “possessed by a violent, tortured spirit.” She’ll play Katie, one of three best friends who’ve reunited in Japan after years apart. Unfortunately, their girls’ trip takes a turn when a spirit takes her over and hell breaks loose. Production for…

Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks announced Friday that he has joined prediction market Kalshi as a shareholder, making him the first NBA player to invest directly in the company. “The internet is full of opinions. I decided it was time to make some of my own,” said the two-time NBA MVP in a social media post. “Today, I’m joining Kalshi as a shareholder. We all on Kalshi now.” The announcement has not gone over well on social media. On Reddit, for example, one user described it as “literally a conflict of interest,” while another described Kalshi as “cancerous” and…

Netflix’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery isn’t quite a done deal yet. As first reported by The Wall Street Journal, the US Department of Justice has started its probe of Netflix’s proposed purchase, but is notably interested in whether the streaming giant was involved in any anticompetitive practices. According to the civil subpoena seen by WSJ, the Justice Department is looking into any “exclusionary conduct on the part of Netflix that would reasonably appear capable of entrenching market or monopoly power.”While Netflix announced plans to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery in December at a value of $82.7 billion, the deal was…

They moisturize; even out skin tone; and, in 2026, the best tinted moisturizers cater particularly well to mature skin. I should know: At 45, I leave a bottle of Dr. Julius Few’s Tinted Mineral Sunscreen next to my Nespresso machine—it’s that important to my morning routine. This hasn’t always been the case. Some tinted moisturizers of the past were too emollient, which gave them limited longevity—particularly on thinner, aging skin. Other formulas were too mattifying, which only served to emphasize fine lines. Many products also relied on dense pigments to even out the skin tone, which caused color to emphasize texture…
An analysis by WIRED this week found that ICE and CBP’s face recognition app Mobile Fortify, which is being used to identify people across the United States, isn’t actually designed to verify who people are and was only approved for Department of Homeland Security use by relaxing some of the agency’s own privacy rules.WIRED took a close look at highly militarized ICE and CBP units that use extreme tactics typically seen only in active combat. Two agents involved in the shooting deaths of US citizens in Minneapolis are reportedly members of these paramilitary units. And a new report from the…
