Kyle Grillot | Bloomberg | Getty ImagesMore frustrated home sellers were giving up, right in the midst of the all-important spring market, according to new data.Nationwide, 5.8% of all home listings were pulled off the market in April, according to Redfin, a real estate brokerage. That ties with December for the highest share of homes delisted since March 2020, when the pandemic hit and the housing market froze. Delistings in April were up 3.8% compared with March. Youth can cast a long shadow. Take Chris Leba, who first came to New York in 1987: In a way, that’s still the beating heart of his cult label R13. The ’80s, of course, were a heady time for fashion, and many of its lasting touchstones—the punk movement, Vivienne Westwood, Comme des Garçons’s Rei Kawakubo and, later, the work of Hedi Slimane and Leba’s 20-year stint designing at Ralph Lauren—still have a strong influence on his work.“You absorb all these things over the years,” said Leba. “And when it’s time for you to do something… it’s not conscious, but it…
“Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go.” ~Hermann Hesse My dad was intubated, so he couldn’t say the words back to me. I told him I loved him anyway. Instead, he slowly pointed to himself and then to me. “You love me too?” I asked. His eyes widened ever so slightly, and he nodded gently, giving me the biggest response his body could offer. I held onto that moment like it was something solid in a room where everything else was slipping away. It was the last moment we had together before…

“You only live once, but if you do it right once is enough.”— Mae West Twenty years ago, I was lucky enough to witness the humble, elegant, peaceful passing of my 89-year-old grandfather. As I sat quietly in his hospice room alongside my grandma and other family members, his nurse smiled softly and said, “I can see he lived well. People his age often pass just the way they lived.” And as I drove home that evening a couple questions kept cycling through my mind… “Am I living well?” “What do I want to be able to smile about on…
Private hiring expanded at a brisk pace in May, providing further indication of a stable labor market, ADP reported Wednesday. The payrolls processing firm said companies added 122,000 workers for the month, up from 105,000 in April and better than the Dow Jones consensus estimate for 110,000. May marked the strongest month since January 2025. April’s total was revised down by 4,000.Unlike prior months, where job growth was concentrated in healthcare and a few other sectors, gains were more broad-based. Eight of the 10 sectors ADP tracks saw gains, and hiring was spread evenly both by company size and geography.Education and…
“Yin and yang is built into this brand,” wrote Vogue Runway’s Nicole Phelps in her post-show review of Eckhaus Latta’s fall 2026 collection. Duality has long defined designers Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta, whose use of experimental materials, inclusive design, and commitment to creating clothes for real people has made the label a downtown-cool mainstay since its debut in 2011. Now, the brand is bringing its distinctive point of view to a wider audience with its first collaboration with the Spanish retailer Mango.A 43-piece capsule collection of sand-to-city staples, Mango x Eckhaus Latta is designed for both the city slicker…
JS: Yeah. Meyer lemons are beautiful.SU: Yeah.JS: Yeah. And especially I feel like in this instance, you get a lot more oil skin versus pit, so it’d be a really pretty expression of lemon. Yeah.SU: So yes, some citrus could work. Some, maybe not.JS: Yeah, be careful.SU: Okay. And a question about the curd from Cindy. “They set, but they’re smidge juicy.”JS: Oh yeah, I see them. I see them.SU: “The shortbread is delicious but a bit firm. Sun gave it a thumbs up.” Okay. So Cindy has some pictures attached. Oh, I see.JS: I like the first one, Cindy.…
We may receive compensation from Faye as an advertising partner. However, this does not influence our evaluations. Our opinions are our own. I’ve been writing about travel for nearly two decades and, in that time, I’ve watched the travel insurance industry change at roughly the speed of a glacier. For years, the pitch was always the same: buy a policy, hope you never need it, and if something goes wrong, prepare for a paperwork marathon and a check that arrives somewhere between “eventually” and “you’ve forgotten you ever filed.” I’ve personally been on the receiving end of that runaround. So…
