NFL NationDec 30, 2025, 06:30 AM ETCloseNFL Nation is made up of 32 team-specific reporters who cover the NFL year-round across ESPN.com, ESPN television shows, ESPN Radio, ESPN+ and social media platforms. It was established ahead of the 2013 season. With Week 18 of the 2025 NFL regular season upon us, we’ve hit the final edition of our NFL Power Rankings for the year. Our weekly poll featured plenty of variety up top in 2025, including nine different teams in the No. 1 spot: the Bills, Buccaneers, Chiefs, Colts, Eagles, Lions, Patriots, Rams and Seahawks.Which of those nine made the top…
In early December, Joshua Aaron, the developer behind the ICEBlock app — designed to let people alert others about the presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents — filed a federal lawsuit alleging his First Amendment rights were violated. The Department of Justice had urged Apple to remove Aaron’s app from its App Store, which the suit called unconstitutional. And Apple had complied — in the process, setting its own precedent for suppressing anti-ICE speech. The year 2025 has marked perhaps the biggest leap back for American free speech in generations. The Trump administration’s war on immigrants and civil liberties…

Cabbage“I love that cabbage had its moment this year. It’s such an underrated vegetable and incredibly versatile. You can braise it, broil it, blanch it, or bake it and it always brings something different to the table.” —Aidan Owens, culinary director, Herb & Sea + Herb & Wood, Encinitas + San DiegoSavory Martinis“A highlight trend of 2025 was the rise of the ultra-savory martini. Love a martini, but a martini that is reminiscent of the Willy Wonka three-course bubblegum? Perfection. I want my martinis to taste like tomato or sour cream and onion or seaweed, ideally. And if they come…
Photograph: Matt KamenBoot up the C64U, and you’re greeted by a re-creation of the C64’s menu. Here, you can type in operation commands just as you would back in the day, using the BASIC programming language. Problem: I don’t have the first clue about BASIC. However, in what is possibly the greatest throwback of all, the C64U comes with a spiral-bound, 273-page user guide. It is an absolute tome. Somewhat surprisingly, it’s not a reprint of anything that came with the original, but rather a tailored guide to what the C64U does, where it differs from the C64, and how…
A class of 2026 Nebraska football commit was named a finalist for the Navy All-American Bowl Defensive Player of the Year award. Cornerback Danny Odem had a tremendous junior season, recording 45 tackles, two interceptions, three pass deflections, and a fumble recovery for First Academy in Florida.Odem was also able to contribute five receptions for 40 yards. The Huskers will undoubtedly benefit from his playmaking ability and athleticism. The defensive back will undoubtedly be a starter sooner rather than later, and he could be a cornerstone of the secondary for years.AdvertisementIn the meantime, he is collecting additional accolades before he…
Every audio system requires amplification. In a traditional hi-fi set-up, the loudspeakers are always “passive”—which is to say, they don’t produce their own power. Instead, they must receive an amplified audio signal from an external source, aptly called an amplifier, in order to do their thing. Even in a more modern, self-contained audio system (like the Sonos Era 100, for example), the drivers that produce the sound must be amplified in order to function—this just all happens in a singular box rather than across hi-fi separates. But if you’ve heard about amplifiers, you may have also heard about preamplifiers (often referred…
Editor’s note: This year, in advance of her 45th year in business, Anna Sui published a book on her collections from the ’90s. To celebrate that, and as part of Vogue Runway’s ongoing efforts to document the history of fashion shows, we are closing out 2025 by adding two newly digitized shows from that era to the site. This fall 1995 collection was presented in New York on April 6, 1995, in the tents in Bryant Park.Picture it…Swinging London, but transported and updated to mid-’90s New York. The purr of a moto precedes the appearance of a snow white Vespa…
Outgoing New York City Mayor Eric Adams loves crypto. He created a mayoral “Office of Digital Assets and Blockchain,” and supposedly had his first three paychecks converted to bitcoin so the city could even pay him in crypto. And in remarks made Monday at what was probably his final press conference as mayor, he indicated that his love affair with crypto is only intensifying. In fact, Adams is somehow going to fix violence, education, and antisemitism with crypto, he says. When speaking about next steps toward the end of the presser, he got off to a rocky start: “I’m excited…
When Sunday night’s game between the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers started, three of the 49ers’ top five players — all stars — were out.Shortly into the first quarter, left tackle Trent Williams, another one of their stars, left the game with an injury. That meant only Christian McCaffrey of their Fab 5 was left on the field. Yet somehow the 49ers found a way to beat the Bears in a heavyweight battle of two of the NFC’s best teams. San Francisco won 42-38 behind the play of the offense and Brock Purdy, who is playing his way into making…
