Need your daily dose of vitamins? To relax and fall asleep faster? Help being more, ahem, regular? There’s a gummy for that. The market for health- and wellness-boosting gummy supplements has ballooned in recent years (by one estimate, it was valued at $10.7 billion—with a B—in 2024), with varieties claiming to support your gut health, immune system, cognitive function, and more. One of the newest to hit (virtual) store shelves is Jüced, a “pre-workout” gummy from the brains behind the greens supplement Grüns.Launched in early December, Jüced bills itself as an extra energy oomph before you hit the gym—or the…
There’s a lot of tours in New York City (I’ve highlighted my favorites here) but I think one thing people don’t do enough of is Airbnb experience. Most of us know Airbnb through their stay features but they also have a lot of experiences where you can get a local to show you around. I actually like these experiences more than traditional tours because they have locals who share something they are passionate about, they are small groups, and they are usually a bit more off the beaten path. I don’t think people take these tours enough and they are…
Every year, TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield pitch contest draws thousands of applicants. We whittle those applications down to the top 200 contenders, and of them, the top 20 compete on the big stage to become the winner, taking home the Startup Battlefield Cup and a cash prize of $100,000. But the remaining 180 startups all blew us away as well in their respective categories and compete in their own pitch competition. Here is the full list of the fintech, real estate, and proptech Startup Battlefield 200 selectees, along with a note on why they landed in the competition. Fintech Clox AI …

Join the Tiny Buddha list for daily or weekly insights. “The greatest thing in the world is to know how to belong to oneself.” ~Michel de Montaigne Some people fear spiders. Some fear public speaking. My biggest fear? That my plus-one will always be my own reflection. More and more people are finding themselves in the single life—not because they joyfully signed up for it, but because they’ve quietly resigned themselves to it. Being alone forever is one of the worst things most people can imagine. And yet, nobody’s talking about it. I have…
The NFL’s best celebrated the season in style. With three games on the league’s Christmas Day schedule, players had plenty of opportunities to show off the spirit of the season. From bold color choices to festive accessories, holiday-themed fits made their way into arrival outfits across the league. Some players leaned into classic seasonal looks, while others put a creative spin on winter fashion. The result was a wide-ranging display of personality and flair before kickoff.Players didn’t need to worry too much about winter fashion in sunny SoCal ahead of the Los Angeles Chargers’ matchup with the Houston Texans, though, with temperatures…
Two things I always watch for with supplements, even with guidance from my doctor: Does it have a CGMP certification, and is there any data to back up the marketing claims? CGMP stands for “Current Good Manufacturing Process,” which are FDA guidelines put in place for a product’s safety. This includes where and how it was made, as well as what it was made of. But even with this kind of baseline, it’s hard to tell what additives are used in a supplement and how that can counteract its effects or react with your body chemistry. So, Can I Take Melatonin…
This potatoes au gratin recipe is one of my favorite potato dishes. It’s has tender, creamy potatoes under a layer of crisp, browned bubbly cheese. Think of au gratin potatoes as scalloped potatoes with extra cheese. As the dish bakes, the cheesy sauce bubbles and forms a golden crust on top of the sliced potatoes. That incredibly creamy, cheesy crust is what “au gratin” refers to in French. These are comforting, infinitely impressive, and always a crowd-pleaser. Everyone we’ve served them to loves them! Key Ingredients Potatoes: We love Yukon Golds for au gratin potatoes. They hold up really well…
There’s something magical about curling up on a chilly morning with a mug of coffee, the cat snoring beside you, and a book that makes you feel like you’re somewhere far away. When the roads get icy and the adventures slow down, that’s when our travel daydreams seem to grow legs. For us, winter is when the maps come back out and the next adventure starts taking shape, even if it’s only in our imaginations for now. A good travel book is more than an escape; it’s a reminder that the world is still out there waiting, full of stories and…
Like me, you may have missed this September debut altogether, since McLachlan and Jewel canceled their premiere-night performance in support of free speech when Jimmy Kimmel was suspended from his late-night post, and then ABC News Studios canceled the film’s red carpet the day before McLachlan, Jewel, Mýa, and director Ally Pankiw were meant to appear before reporters and photographers. That didn’t stop the film from activating Reddit, however, with one user urging readers to “especially watch it if you thought [Lilith Fair] was for hippie, unshaven, lesbian feminists, because it wasn’t the touchy-feely, hippie dippie concert series mass media…
