America is turning 250 years old this year, and while we could (and probably still will) celebrate with cake and ice cream, Lodge Cast Iron has another idea, too. In honor of the country’s milestone birthday, Lodge launched two beautiful, timeless cast-iron collections: Celebrating America’s 250th, which features three cast-iron skillets with commemorative designs ranging from 10–12 inches, and the American Road Trip Series. Buckle up for this one!
What You Should Know About Lodge Cast Iron’s American Road Trip Series
Each skillet features the name of the state in a unique font, along with a bunch of symbols representing that state. For example, the Massachusetts one has nods to Cape Cod, Fenway Park, and Martha’s Vineyard, while the Washington D.C. one shouts out landmarks like the Smithsonian Institution and The Library of Congress.
And in case you’re wondering, yes, you can actually cook in these pre-seasoned skillets. They can be popped into the oven or on your stove. Not to mention, you can also bring these along with you on your next road trip, if you’re planning to do any cooking over open fire.
Each skillet costs $40, and if you’ll be using it as decor, a display stand costs another $20. Whether there’s one specific state-themed skillet you’re looking out for or you want to collect a few, these are sure to look beautiful (and cook well) for a long time to come.
