There are few appliances I’m as passionate about as my Keurig (the Wonder Oven Pro is a close contender). I love the ease of using K-Cups, but I’ve been trying to dial back my plastic usage in the kitchen. So I’ve been using my new reusable pods, which I love because I can put any coffee grounds in them.
But I’ve also recently discovered Cambio Roasters’ coffee pods, which are made from recyclable aluminum instead of plastic. And while that is what initially drew me in, what keeps me coming back is how good the coffee is.
What You Should Know About Cambio Roasters’ Hazelnut Light Roast Coffee Pods
Cambio Roasters claims to make “the only organic recyclable aluminum coffee pods,” which is a noticeable difference from the majority of white plastic K-Cups that line my pod organizer. The brand offers nine different varieties of coffee pods, including French roast, decaf, and a variety pack.
Of the nine, I’ve tried two varieties: house blend and hazelnut. Both are available in two different sizes: a pack of 10 or a pack of 60. The one I keep coming back to is the 10-pack of hazelnut pods for just $12. The aroma alone is worth every penny.
My Honest Review of Cambio Roasters’ Hazelnut Light Roast Coffee Pods
I usually go for a medium roast — like the house blend — over a light roast. So I’m surprised at how much I like these light roast hazelnut pods. But it’s actually so flavorful and light that I can drink it black. It’s not nearly as bitter as my go-to coffee pods are, and it has a subtle nutty flavor (and aroma) that is so delicious.
I’ve been exclusively drinking this hot; it’s just so cozy and comforting that how could I not? As the weather begins to warm, though, I’m so excited to pour it over ice and top it off with my favorite caramel creamer.
