My husband Dave and I are not impulsive shoppers. In fact, we’re both the opposite — typically spending days or even weeks researching something or just thinking about it before buying it. That’s why we surprised ourselves a few months ago when we went out to dinner at Daisy, a new restaurant in our Los Angeles neighborhood, and ended up immediately buying the same silverware we had at our table.
The stunning flatware perfectly matched the moody, eclectic vibe of this Mexican restaurant, and Dave and I shared the same thought: We needed to hunt it down for our home. I used the Google Lens feature on my phone to image search them, and lucky for us, they were available on Amazon! We chose the persimmon color, but they also come in black, navy blue, bright blue, yellow, moss green, red, and gray.
The retro diner shape and colors of the Ginkgo set, on the other hand, were a welcome change to our place settings. Ever since getting an actual dining table, I’ve committed to buying only vibrant, unique, or textured place mats and cloth napkins. However, I hadn’t thought to look for silverware that was just as funky.
