The 2026 Met Gala may have been last Monday, but on the red carpets this week, stars continued to channel some big-time Met energy. Considering that this year’s Met theme centered around exploring fashion in relation to the body, you could say that the same spirit prevailed in the days following: A-listers chose strong, structural shapes for their events this week that all majorly enhanced the form underneath.
Of course, many of the best looks of the week stemmed from the countless Met after-parties happening in New York, too. Singer Tate McRae, for one, chose a sheer Ludovic de Saint Sernin golden minidress that deliberately exposed the bra and briefs underneath. Va-va-voom. Connor Storrie also embraced the sexier slant in his Saint Laurent suit with a built-in cape, worn without a shirt to expose that chiseled chest.
But it wasn’t just Met-related parties that celebrated body-contoured dressing. At a BFI Fellowship event in London, Cate Blanchett emerged in a gauzy black Maison Margiela suit that was both provocative yet demure at the same time. For a more maximalist approach, Diane Krueger luxuriated in volume, with her feathery Erdem dress at the New York City Spring Ballet Gala. The bowed sleeves and pastel-rainbow hue? Name a better spring frock.
